    Q. Is there any difference in efficacy of the Slim as to WHEN it is used during the day…..such as
Breakfast & Dinner? Or Lunch & Dinner? Are there notable differences in using Slim 3X per day as
    opposed to 2X per day?.
    A. Studies and case reports have shown that the best way to use Bios Life Slim is by using it
before every meal. This also makes sense because of the working mechanism. You want to
prevent all glucose and resulting insulin peaks after the meals. If you have to make a choice and
use only two packets per day, it makes sense to combine it with the heaviest (most carbohydrate-
rich) meals. For some people this will be breakfast and dinner. For other people this may be lunch
    and dinner.

    Q. One of the videos talk about an increased energy level that many Bios Life users experience….
How is this accounted for without stimulants…..I have been on Bios Life for about a month and I
am not sure that I have experienced an increase in “energy”?.
    A. There are several reasons why most users of Bios Life Slim experience increased energy
levels. One of the reasons is the inclusion of B vitamins in the product. B vitamins are necessary
cofactors for the production of energy in our body. When you lack sufficient amounts of B vitamins
you have a lack of energy. By supplementing those vitamins by Bios Life Slim you will be able to
increase your energy production during the day and that you will notice. Another reason why
most people experience increased energy levels is because of the better use of glucose in the
blood. Bios Life Slim causes the flattening of glucose peaks after the meal. And that means that
glucose is better available throughout the day. Without this effect, high peaks in glucose after the
meal may result in a strong fluctuation of glucose levels, because the body overproduces insuline
as a reaction on the high glucose levels. Strong fluctuations in glucose cause the tired feeling
after a meal. The unique formulation of Bios Life Slim lowly releases glucose into the bloodstream
which makes sure that all the glucose, which is the main energy source for our body, is efficiently
usedand this will actually increase the energy levels.

    Q. Is What materials would you use to create the best first impression when meeting with
physicians or other health care providers to talk about the use of Bios Life in their practices.
    A. In my experience, physicians and other healthcare professionals want to know that a body of
evidence exists when they evaluate a specific product. I also know that most healthcare
professionals do not actually read the studies that have been published. Usually because of lack
of time. The frame of reference for healthcare professionals is usually how they are being
approached by sales reps from pharmaceutical companies. They usually use a detail aid which is a
couple of pages with some graphs showing an overview of the effects that a product will have for
their patient population. This will result in a discussion and this discussion is followed up with a
reference guide with all the published clinical studies. This model can be copied completely using
Bios Life Slim. What we have is a good overview of clinical study results and we have a Unicity
science binder or Unicity science CD that provides all the published references in great detail in an
easy format. In a short matter of time I will make both documents available on my website so that
    people can start using them.

    Q. Is there any research specific to children, obesity, and Bios Life.
    A. At this stage we have not performed clinical research in children with our products. This is
because it is rather difficult to get ethical approval to perform studies with this vulnerable group.
However case studies with children using Bios Life Slim have indicated that also for this group the
product has great effects for weight loss. Also the beneficial effects for cholesterol and lipid levels
    have been reported in children.

    Q. I would also like to know how to get copies of the journals with studies that have been
    published regarding Bios Life Slim.
    A. Bios Life Slim is a relatively new product and although we have performed a couple of studies
with this product but the process of getting them published is not completed yet. As you may
know getting a study published usually takes about a year. As soon as we have those we will be
able to provide you with copies. What we do have at this stage is many copies available for
studies with Bios Life Complete. In a short time I will be offering a Bios Life science CD which
includes all the clinical studies that have been performed with all products of Unicity not only Bios
    Life Complete.

    Q. I would like to be know how a product gets into the PDR and why it would make it superior to
other products not in the PDR?
    A. To be able to list the product in the physicians' desk reference one has to get approval from
the medical committee that judges the quality and clinical evidence that exists for a product. The
PDR itself is just a publisher. If a product is listed in the PDR it means in general that it has specific
treatment value to a particular disease state. Therefore Unicity has been successful in listing Bios
Life Complete as well as specific treatment products such as Cardio Essentials, Visutein and CM
    Plex.

    Q. I have a new customer with IBS who says the slim is giving her diarrhea. I advised her to do it
one time a day until she gets used to it. Is there anything else I can tell her that will help her?
    A. The increased soluble fiber intake with Bios Life Slim may indeed result in diarrhea for some
persons. This is completely normal and nothing to worry about. The diarrhea will disappear after a
couple days of continued use of Bios Life Slim. If that is a problem, the user may also reduce the
amount of water consumed during the day, or reduce the water used to mix up the Bios Life Slim.

    Q. I was wondering if the 30mg dose of DHEA is not on the high side and could there be
capsules made in lower doses like 15mg?
    A. Regarding your first question, typically the clinical studies that have been performed with this
ingredient range in doses from 25 to about 200 mg per day, without any noticed side effects. So it
may be expected that 30 mg per day is a safe dose and clinically effective dose. I think the
suggested level of 15 mg per day is too low expect a meaningful physiological effect.

    Q. My Pharmacist friend has concerns about the 30mg DHEA as far as whether it is synthetically
    based.
    A. The second question is about the origin of the ingredient. I am not sure about the exact
source of this ingredient, since I do not have access to that information. We must realize that the
hormone is produced naturally by the body, but that there are no plant sources for this hormone.
I presume the ingredient is being produced in a biochemistry plant, which means that bacteria or
other microorganisms produce it using their own natural biochemistry. This is different than
synthetic chemistry, because in this case solvents and other chemicals are used.

    Q. I would like to know how slim gets the brain to start listening to leptin again. Does slim bind
with leptin to reduce the amount? Does it reduce the amount of leptin produced? What is the
    mechanism?
    A. Thank you very much for your question. There is one component in the product that is being
absorbed in the digestive tract called Unicity 7X. This proprietary ingredient interacts with the
receptors for leptin in the brain. Leptin is normally produced when a person consumes fat. It
regulates the fat storage and also tells our fat storage cells to start burning the fats as a source
of energy. Leptin is actually produced by the fat cells themselves. If an obese or overweight
person has too much fat cells, there is going to be a constant high level of leptin. This results in
leptin insensitivity. One can compare this with insulin insensitivity. If a prediabetic person
produces too much insulin to control the constant high glucose levels, the cells are going to lose
the sensitivity for this hormone. The proprietary ingredient will reinstate over a period of time the
sensitivity of the leptin receptors in the brain, so the present levels of leptin will actually
start doing their job again. This will result in a lower fat content in the body and therefore in a
lower production of overall leptin. In a circular process, slowly the total leptin levels in the body
    are going to be reduced.

    Q. What two universities developed what you call unicity 7x?
    A. The University of Minnesota, and the University of Connecticut.

    Q. I need your consultation: I have a woman who became a franchise owner took slim for a few
weeks then stopped for a week – then restarted. She got sick with cramps and told me the
product is way to acidic to take. She stated she cannot sell a product that she does not believe in
and has that adverse affect on her.
What are your thoughts? Please advise? How do I handle this?
    A. Thank you very much for your questions. The story is pretty short but what I suspect is that
the lady did not give it enough time to have her digestive tract get used to the extra fiber in the
product. Fiber is a normal ingredient of our diet but most people do not take enough of it on a
daily basis. That means that once a person takes in additional fiber in the form of Bios Life Slim,
the tissue on the inside of the digestive tract has to get used to it. This is because the bacterial
flora are digesting the fiber and this will produce certain components that may influence the
environment in the gut. Also additional carbon dioxide is produced and this leads to gas
formation. All in all this may be experienced in the form of cramps. It is however nothing to be
worried about. Once you have taken the product for a couple of weeks these effects will
disappear. I would encourage you to try to convince your customer to try it a couple of weeks and
then she will experience the benefits herself without the side effects. Her remark on the product
being too acidic, I disagree with. It is true there is some citric acid in the product for taste reasons
but the overall pH level is not acidic.

    Q. The video states that Bios Slim blocks the absorption of fat – does it also block the absorption
    of fat soluble vitamins?
    A. I understand your concern. The soluble fiber in Bios Life Slim partly blocks the obstruction of
fat in the digestive tract. However this is different for fat soluble vitamins. Perhaps I can explain it
in this way: the product forms a thick matrix with the fat from our food, that travels slowly
through the digestive tract. During this journey there is still an exchange between the food matrix
and the tissue on the inside of the gut. So valuable nutrients which fat soluble vitamins are still
going to be absorbed. In fact some scientists believe that the absorption of these vitamins is
going to be improved, because the body has more time to extract it from the food matrix during
the passage in the digestive tract. However, this effect has not been proven in scientific studies.
It has been proven though for minerals. We know from studies that if you consume more fiber in
your diet, the absorption of essential minerals such as selenium, zinc, copper, and others, is
    improved.

    Q. I started my product (Calcium-Mag chelate powder) this past weekend. Is it okay to take with
my evening meal? I have benn drinking it about a half hour before going to bed and I have
noticed that I get a little queasy about 20-30 minutes later. I thought perhaps with a meal this
would alleviate that issue. Would you know what might be causing this side effect? I am thinking
the calcium itself because I had issues with Caltrate and another brand that I can not recall the
    name of.
    A. I think the time that you take the product is exactly the wrong time. Calcium supplementation
can be best taken very close to a meal. If the calcium can mix with the contents of the mealm the
adsorption of the mineral by the tissue in the gut is going to be much more effective. The side
effect you have experienced is possibly due to bulking of the calcium in your gut, and slow
movement of your bowel contents because you were laying flat the moment after you take it.
